Welcome to the Reservation Empowerment Zone

Part of the Lone Family Business Plan is to develop our business growth to include building a manufacturing facility on the Tonawanda Seneca Indian Reservation. Our reservation currently has gas stations, smoke shops, craft shops and small restaurants. Our entire economy is based on cigarettes and gas. Since the government is constantly pushing to shut down those industries, it is a real threat that would instantly create 90% job loss on the reservation.

Here are some basic facts about our reservation.

Population: about 600 enrolled members, 100 non-enrolled or non-Native residents.

Size: about 4 square miles

Workforce: less 100 K-12 students, less 50 retirees, about 550 potential employees.

Jobs: including 13 smoke shops/gas stations/craft shops/restaurants, estimated
